Food/Dining Review - Holsten's

One day last week, I really didn't feel like cooking because it was just one of those days. We always pass by this place in Bloomfield, Holsten's, that is an Old Fashioned Ice Cream Parlor, so we decided to try it out. Upon entering no one greeted us at the door and we seated ourselves. We waited about 20-25 minutes to place and order and get drinks. Their menu is very simple serving foods like burgers, chicken nuggets, hot dogs and fries. By the time I got my order, I was already done with half of my soda. I ordered a bacon cheese burger that looked like I made it on my grill at home. The chicken nuggets my son and daughter ordered were cheaper than the ones you buy at the supermarket for like 100 for $2.99 **being sarcastic** and the cheese fries were missing the cheese! My youngest daughter ordered a hot dog which seemed to be the best meal. They have high school kids as servers that don't know time management and they didn't serve all the food at once making my boyfriend wait an additional 5-8 minutes for his fries. The kids meals came with ice cream but once were were done we waited about another 10-20 minutes to get the check. I asked for the ice cream to go, and if I wasn't able to take it to go we were just gonna leave it. Overall it was an awful experience.

Spice it up on Valentine's Day!!

Instead of just giving gifts, try changing it up a bit and do something different for Valentines Day this year...you'll partner will appreciate you for it.

• Picnic Fun - Place a blanket on the floor with candles around and have your Valentine's meal as a candle-lit picnic with a bottle of your favorite bubbly.
• The Gift of Time - Give a hand-made coupon for your partner to request a special wish. For example, a coupon good for back rub or a naughty desire. You can could have a lot of fun with these and they will spice up the relationship.
• Have Sex in a Public Place -  Be creative and have fun but be responsible about the place you choose.
• Go on a Wine Tasting Tour  - if you have local winery you can visit then that’s perfect! If not then create your own wine tasting adventure by picking out some of your favorite wines and then try pairing them with some fruit or cheese.
• Take a Trip to Disney World - Disney has plenty to do for adults. Try staying in one of their premier resorts and letting them set up a package for you where your meals and drinks are included for a fun change of pace.
• Make a Human Sundae – blind fold your partner and tease them by turning them into a human sundae. All you need to do is raid the kitchen and fridge for the most common sundae ingredients (make sure your lover likes them as there would be nothing worse to kill the mood then a mouthful of something they don't like). Common sundae components include chocolate syrup, caramel, cherries, strawberries, bananas, ice cream, and chopped nuts...YUM! 
• Try on Lingerie at a Local Store – this is a great way to really tease your partner and get them worked up for lovemaking later. Victoria's Secret is a great place to start or if you're not sure where to go, try searching the internet for local lingerie shops near you. Let your partner pick out their favorite outfit and purchase it to take home with you.
• Make a Rose Petal Bath – this is an oldie but goody and never ceases to knock the socks off your partner and make them fell like the angels are smiling down on them. It's really simple and you can make it special by adding your own unique touches. Try making a rose petal trail to the bathroom where a warm bubble bath is already waiting. Use candles and low lighting to set the mood and maybe have some of their favorite goodies like chocolate covered strawberries waiting for them so there's nothing for them to do but get undressed and get in the bathtub.
• Read a Sexy Book Together - grab a really sexy, provocative book and start reading it together. Find something that is erotic enough to get you both in the mood for some really hot sex afterwards!
• Couples Massage - I LOVE a good massage...it's so relaxing and comforting. Make an appointment for a couples massage together in the same room so you can gaze into each other's eyes and daydream about the night ahead.
• Stay in a Local Hotel - stay in a local hotel and pretend your out of town on a trip. There's something really exciting about the idea of pretending to be somewhere else so bring a bottle of wine and your favorite outfit and pretend like your a tourist for the night.
• Reenact your first day - Bring back those old butterflies!!!

Write up little notes about how you feel and what they mean to you and place them around the house along with a candy heart or other treat. Add a riddle at the end of each note about where to find the next note. At the last note, have something special waiting there. For example, you can be waiting for your hubby in a candle-lit bubble bath with two glasses of wine. For your children, then can find a teddy bear or other toy or treat.
• Valentine Notables - Little notes in their lunch boxes, on the bathroom mirror, in his briefcase, stuck on the car windshield, in his underwear drawer -- "I'm fortunate to have you!"

Omg!!! Have you ever made an Internet purchased and it wasn't what you expected?! Well, that's exactly what happened to a friend of mine. My friend Alison purchased a prom dress for her daughter. The picture above is the exact dress she purchased. Once she got the dress she loved it expect that the white on the dress is not solid white and has gold in it which her daughter ended up not liking. Cucumber Melon Moisturizing hand and body lotion

  Avon?! My cousin had bought some products from Avon and gave me a lotion. Its Avon Naturals Cucumber Melon Moisturizing hand & body lotion. First thing I did was read the label which says this lotion is formulated with BioSeed Complex and pure cucumber and melon extracts. Mmmmm... Now, I wanted to know, Does it smell good? & to my surprise the lotion had a very nice scent. I don't like things that smell to much like flowers or pine. Yuck!! But, this didn't smell like either. It has a very gentile smell that blends well with my skin. The lotion itself is not thick or creamy but lightweight. When applying the lotion onto my hands, it melted into my skin. I prefer my lotion lightweight and not too thick and creamy that I cant touch anything until the lotion dries. The scent last for a good while and not much re-applying is necessary throughout the day.

Music Review - Rihanna Loud

Latest Album, Loud

I really love this album from start to finish. It is one of those albums you don't even have to shuffle but could play on repeat all day. In this album, Rihanna is very sexy and seductive taking charge with a new style that I also love. Red hair, Red lips with a new funky style, I absolutely love this Rihanna!!! After the whole Chris Brown ordeal no one knew what would happen to her, but, she worked it to her advantage and is killing it on the scene. Besides the Pink Friday Album, I really wanted to get this one as well because I just knew it would be work the money. &Let me tell you, I got my monies worth!! 5 stars!!!

Since I am such a lover of the Hip Hop culture, I missed the hardcore lyrics from female artist in that male dominated industry. But, from the moment I heard Nicki Minaj, I was hooked!!  Nicki started underground and was picked up by none other then Lil Wayne from Cash Money/Young Money. I like how Nicki really embodies so many things and I admire her for wanting to be the First Female Rapper turned Mogul. On her MTV documentary, My Time Now, you get to see the real Nicki front and center. She is still wearing her wigs and get ups but you get a glimpse of the savy business woman and the intimate family girl. Nicki candidly expresses why she feels the need to be and act in a certain way in order to get respect from her peers. After being a fan for a while now, I had to get her first album ever, Pink Friday. Honestly, its the first CD I bought in a super long time because I've downloaded her mixtapes along with other songs for free. (I will be posting a blog on how to download entire songs/albums for free) The Deluxe Exclusive Fanpack album contained a Limited Edition ladies t-shirt and 3 Bonus Tracks which my boyfriend purchased at Target. This funpack was not available anywhere else!!! After listening to the entire album, I give it 5 stars!!!!!. Bonus track, Muny, is one of my favorites along with singles Moment 4 Life and Roman's Revenge.

One of the most anticipated days of the winter is Groundhogs Day because the famous groundhogs determine whether spring is near or if there will be six more weeks of winter. Today Punxsutawney Phil and Staten Island Chuck both agreed that Spring will come early this year!! What do you guys think? Reality or Myth? Only time will tell but I'll be keeping my fingers crossed.

TONiGHT!!! THE REAL HOUSEWiVES OF BEVERLY HiLLS REUNiON PART 2

I love love love to watch the reunion shows. The women have watched all of the episodes and get to hear and see not only themselves but what the other women say and do as well.

My favorite Beverly Hills housewife has to be Kyle Richards. Kyle has a great fashion sense, is a devoted mother and has the hottest husband on the show.

My second favorite has to be Lisa Vanderpump. She is the British spitfire who has no problem telling you how it is all the while with a smile on her face. Lisa has been married for 29 years and has a weird relationship with her husband but it works for them.

Kim Richards is the one I feel sorry for. She is a former child star and mother of four, who allegedly has a drinking problem.

Adrienne Maloof is a fellow Virgo and part-owner of the Sacramento Kings and the Palms Resort in Las Vegas. I think I'm the most like her because Martial Arts have been in my life forever and the bickering between her and her husband is similar to my relationship.

Taylor Armstrong is the people pleaser and trouble maker who is unhappy in her marriage but seems to become friends with the girls for the exception of Kim and Lisa. 

Last and least, lol, is Camille Grammer, the soon to be ex-wife of  Kelsey Grammer. Camille is like the Danielle Staub of Beverly Hills. As much as you try to like her she has a way of coming off the wrong way. One thing I know is she doesn't need any luck with the divorce because she never signed a Prenup. Smart Girl!!
